Priory Campus first opened its doors on the 6th of February 1995, purpose built to serve the surrounding communities troubled by the many pit closures in Barnsley.
Priory Campus is an independent voluntary organisation, a registered charity and active member of Voluntary Action Barnsley and the Development Trusts Association.
Priory Campus operations are manned by a dedicated and multi-skilled team of staff and line managers lead by our Chief Executive Mark Nicholson. An independant board of Trustees is responsible for the overall management and direction of the Campus.
Priory Campus has a long History of projects, courses, events and services which come and go as the community demand fluctuates. Ranging from cookings classes, computer courses, kids clubs and line dancing, they all have one thing in common, they were provided to fulfill a community need.
Priory Campus also hosts a number of tenants with similar goals and objectives such as Barnardos, Shaw Trust and the Family Welfare Association.
Our main sources of income are;
:: Conference Facilities, which provide rooms for meetings, seminars and conferences from as few as 2 to as many as 250 people at a time attracting clients from all over the UK.

:: Campus Catering, which provides a friendly Coffee Shop serving hot and cold meals and snacks throughout the day as well as buffets to compliment our Conference Service.
We also provide an External Catering service for corporate meetings, weddings, parties and other private functions.

Being a licensed premises enables us to provide facilities for functions such as birthdays, dinner dances, weddings etc with a comprehensive range of menus to suit all tastes ranging from buffets to full sit down meals.

:: Agencies, which lease office space for thier business operations and service provision.
Income generated through our primary sources listed above is spent on core costs such as heating, electricity, water, telephone bills and maintenance etc. All additional income is directed back into the organisation and running of projects, services and events to help engage and develop the the local community.
